The only thing hotter than August in Walla Walla is our wines!

We continue to shine in the eyes of the judges. I should know I was one of them! Last month I was one of the judges for the Bellingham Wine Competition; of course, my scores on my wines were thrown out (but I did score them since we all tasted the wines blind in the same order). My conclusion was that the wines were made by an incredible good looking winemaker. We tasted about 140 wines each day! Yes, there is a point where I prefer a nice Manhattan to more wine and apparently its #140!

Only 18 double golds were given out from the 280 wines, and we were honored to receive 2 of them! Our 2019 Eternal Lust Albarino (last month’s webinar wine) and our 2015 Eternal Passion Reserve Blend both won those honors. A crowd favorite, our Drink Washington State Carmenere, won gold along with our 2016 Eternal Discovery Cabernet Sauvignon.

Talk about a lead in, our Monthly Webinar Tasting series is on the 2016 Eternal Discovery Cabernet Sauvignon today at 4:00 pm. I will talk with 3 amazing people who contribute not only to the success of Eternal, but the success of Washington Wine as a whole. I will be joined by Oliver May, Ashley Young and Dominic Calandri. We will discuss everything that went into making this amazing wine! If you haven’t tasted this wine yet, you need to! Multiple 90 point scores from the top critics on top of golds! To register for this FREE webinar click here.

Can’t make this one? No problem. We do a live tasting webinar the last Sunday of every month at 4:00 pm PST. The next one is going to be on August 30th. This will be on our 2017 Eternal Restraint Syrah. Register here.

We are continuing to be open 7 days a week 11-5pm. We do welcome walk-ins for our outdoor seating, but reservations are strongly recommended due to the fact that we cannot legally seat you inside after July 31. We also continue to offer beer and cider by the bottle 7 days a week.

Picasso and Chloe both celebrated birthdays recently: Picasso at the end of June and Chloe in early July. They ate steak for Picasso’s birthday and Chloe chose salmon and pork tenderloin for hers. They both signed up for another year chasing gophers and deer away in the vineyard.
