Spring ahead into March! Just back from Chile!

March has been an amazing month so far! I just returned home from 3 weeks in Chile and Argentina! I was there because I was studying Carmenere and Old Vines of which they have plenty. I was awarded a grant from the Washington Wine Industry Foundation which was the catalyst for the trip. I cannot wait to tell and show everyone what I learned down there. All the interviews were recorded. It is my plan to put together a short video of the trip and interviews; however, no timetable has been scheduled yet.

On top of that we did amazing at the SavorNW 2018 wine awards! SavorNW reviews and accepts entries from the Pacific Northwest and features a blind tasting panel of the best of the best! I was so honored to hear that our Drink Washington State won Best Carmenere! Such an honor considering we are seeing more and more Carmenere available today. Our Eternal Wines Rocket Man Red won gold in the Bordeaux blends category.

More great news you ask for? If you’re in Seattle you will have an easier time to taste our wines this month. I will be in Seattle pouring for Debuts & Discoveries on the 17th and again for Taste Washington and the New Vintage March 23-25th. I poured at both these events last year and had a blast so don’t miss this year’s pourings.

I am especially looking forward to an epic night of Popping•Funk•HipHop•Freestyle Fu•Sion!  Don’t miss a Lesson in Popping: Peter “Sandman” de Grasse + Alberto “Cookie” Zavala. The fun starts at 8pm on the 31st of this month. We will also have food available from Walla Walla Tamales and you don’t want to miss out on their tacos either!

I now need to ask a favor from you. We are working hard to get the news out there about our amazing wines and staff but we cannot do it alone. I ask that you take a second and review us on any platform that you feel comfortable with. Google, Facebook, Yelp, Trip Advisor are a couple to name. I appreciate it, my friends!

Our downtown tasting room will continue to be open Wed-Sun, and our airport location Fridays and Saturdays.

Ivan Huera, Mari Gisele, Clarice Swanson and Robert Gomez, AKA Zemog Otrebor, are all back in the tasting room as their unique styles make them local favorites. Free live music is from 5:30-7:30pm.
