What a month it has been!
I’m writing this fresh off our wine club pick up party in Walla Walla at The INK. What a blast that was! So fun to be able to sit and talk about wines and what’s new with our Good Vibes members. The food was on point and I mention this for a couple reasons:
- They are new and I’m trying to help them gain some traction.
- They will be at The INK this Spring Release weekend on Saturday from 2-8pm.
So, come hungry and thirsty. This is also the day of our Spring Release dance party. Music starts at 5pm and dancing starts when you’ve had enough liquid courage. We have 3 DJs spinning, along with food, new releases, and some new artwork from an amazing local artist Summer Barcenas!
We have some other important news to announce as well. We have hired someone who has been both an icon and a staple in the Walla Walla wine scene for years. I am super excited to announce that we have hired Boone Allen to run both our Walla Walla wine tasting rooms. Boone comes to us via Tamarack Cellars where he was the tasting room manager for the last 9 years. We also hired a local brand manager Grace Johnson Clarke.
We just added 8 more wines for Spring release and now have 16 wines on the board! We only select 5 a day downtown to taste. Incidentally, our downtown location is now open 7 days a week: Sunday-Wednesday 12-5pm and Thursday-Saturday 12-8pm. But come out to the INK and you can pick any of the wines to taste as we use the Coravin system to pour. This allows us to have everything “open” at all times! Come make your custom tasting today. Open Fri-Sun 12-5pm.
Let’s talk briefly about our Spring release line up! We have all our favorite warm weather whites coming out! 2018 Eternal Perspective Grenache Blanc, 2017 Eternal Sunshine Viognier, 2018 Eternal Beauty Rose and a new favorite our Escape to Walla Walla White Blend on the Drink Washington State side. Also returning is favorite Rocket Man Red, 2016 vintage this time. For those Syrah lovers we have 2 single vineyard Syrahs Eternal Darkness and Eternal Zen. Our wine for wine club members only is our Eternal Privilege Red Blend from Bogin Vineyard
We are happy to announce our winemaker collaboration dinner at Foundry Vineyards will be held on June 15. Food will be provided by local hotspot Hattaway’s on Alder. They moved into Walla Walla a year ago and have been doing great work daily. Get your southern cuisine here!
Our Syrahs have been getting some great press lately, and I wouldn’t be doing my job if I didn’t fill you in. Enobytes just ran an American Syrah review and tasted hundreds of Syrahs from our great country. We are honored to receive some of the best scores in Washington State. Our Eternal Darkness scored 93 points, while Eternal Restraint and Heritage scored 92 points! Our Eternal Foundation was rated 90 points. Wine Enthusiastalso tasted the Eternal Foundation and loved it, awarding it 91 points. The International Wine Report just revisited Washington Wines and likewise was singing our Rhone style reds praises, noting that we are a producer to visit if you love GSM’s. They awarded our Eternal Optimism 91 points.
Reveal Walla Walla in April was amazing, we auctioned off a custom blend of Les Collines and Dwelley Vineyard Syrah. This is unique as we normally do not blend our Eternal Wines, as we like to showcase single vineyards. Our lot is going to Kansas and was sold for $2800 which was an increase from our lot last year.
Our downtown tasting room is open 7 days a week: Sun.- Weds. 12-5 pm and Thurs.-Sat. 12-8 pm.
Our airport location is open Friday-Sunday 12-5 pm.
*We are open later for special events.
Free live music is from 5:30-7:30 pm. Locals taste our Drink Washington State wines for free.
