Welcome to WAugust!
August is a special time in Washington. WAugust bottles this summer feeling, pairs it with Washington Wine, and serves as an official invitation to seek out WA Wine Month events and participate any way you please. Whether you take a road trip to a new winery, or pack WA wine in the cooler for your camping trip, there’s no wrong way to WAugust.
WAugust is for everyone—attracting wine loyalists, as well as a younger demographic that’s ready to taste and experience something new. As the campaign grows, our focus is on attracting visitors from outside the state. As always, the success of WAugust depends on the support of everyone in the WA wine community.
Check out this month’s issue of Wine Enthusiast (Pizza Issue) to see a couple of our most recent scores! Our Eternal Beauty Rosé received our highest score ever for a rosé: 93 points, and was named Editors Choice. We also received the Hidden Gem designation for the next 3 wines plus 91 points on our Eternal Insight Marsanne, 90 points on our Eternal Bliss Fortified Syrah and Eternal Evolution Skin Contact White. They also gave our Drink Washington State Carmenérè 90 points.
We have some amazing bands coming up this month! First off, we welcome Shanks Pony to our stage. This newcomer to us, but certainly not to Walla Walla, has been killing it in sets all around the PNW. We celebrate the lead singer Tabitha’s birthday with a Dolly Parton themed set. Dress in country Dolly wear to get in for free, otherwise it’s just $5 at the door (free to wine club members)
We aren’t done yet for August as we welcome back one of our favorite bands: the super high energy Snacks at Midnight! These guys will be huge someday and you can say you saw them first at Eternal! Check out one of their latest songs here. Next up we welcome back the comical Sweet ‘N Juicy. These guys are also super talented as they are a must book every year. Check out their newest single here. Finally we end the month with newcomer Brian Green. See his YouTube video here with over 100k viewshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DVZc0gEw7M8! These are all super solid shows, and I can’t wait to share them with you!
Lets disco! Yes, we will be have a full fledged disco party Aug 18th, doors at 10pm. Just $5 at the door or free if you wear disco attire. Bring your big hair, nails, and platform shoes! Disco ball and lights will happen, will you witness it? This is sure to be a fun event.
August 25th it’s a white out featuring DJ Lotek! Wear all/mostly white and get in for free. Once 10pm hits we will lets the foam out! Foam parties are always fun but you typically see in Spring break destinations, why not Walla Walla? $5 at the door if not dressed in white. Can I wear a Motionless in White shirt if its black? Asking for a friend, lol.
We welcomed Grammy nominated Solomon King to our Beats & Bites concert series and had a blast with him. He played some of his favorite blues and rock songs as well as all his hits! It was truly a magical evening as the moon was directly over the stage and his stories lit up the atmosphere. He also loved our wines!
“I wanted to reach out to let you know how much I enjoyed our evening at the Ink.
Also I wanted to let you know that I shared the two bottles of wine that you gave me with friends. Everyone agreed the wine is excellent. I trust that the fruits of your efforts will bring much happiness for your customers and great success to you.
I look forward to drinking more of your wine with you in Walla Walla at our next event.
Regards,
Sk”
Again, if you missed this, doors are now to be open at 7pm with the band playing 7:30-10:00pm. We will have a special DJ set 10pm-midnight every Friday Night after the concert. As always, Notorious PIE is on site for tasty pizza and ravioli.
We have a couple of great pouring events on the west side of Washington this month. We pour at Edmonds Wine Walk Saturday August 5th. Also on that date we are at the Mukilteo Chamber Winefest. We pour at the Sip on the Sound event in Everett, WA on Aug 18-19th. Looking forward, we are at the Enumclaw Fall Wine Walk on Nov. 4, 2023.
Did you know that we can host private events for you or your business? We have the capacity to host up to 500 people and can add catering to your experience. Also, we host many large groups of 10-40 people for tastings. These tastings run on average 1.5 hours. Please contact me for more information. Our outside patio is a great spot for after-work get-togethers.
We are still offering our Drink Washington State 2022 All-Natural Rose, 2021 Pinot Noir, and red sangria in kegs. Whether you work for a bar, restaurant or just want one for your house, this is a great option. (Must be pushed with nitrogen)
We are now open 7 days a week. 11-4pm Sundays-Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays until 5pm. If you would like to visit us just submit a tasting request here and I will make sure we are ready for your group!
