What a disaster!
If you follow us on social media you probably saw the devastating disaster that happened in the winery last week. I walked into our cellar and could see wine actively flowing into our floor drains. I thought this was odd since I’m the only person that works on the wines, so I called out to see if anyone else was there and ran to where the wine was coming from. As I turned the corner I could see gashes in a couple of barrels that looked like something big and sharp had smashed into it. I started thinking about what could have caused multiple barrels to be broken in this manner. I turned around and was face to face with a masked man about to swing an axe at me. My life flashed before my eyes…………………………………………………… April Fools! Did I get you there? Maybe just a little? 😊
All is great at the winery. I’m fresh off of the Taste Washington weekend in Seattle and am back to work in Walla Walla. The weather is getting nice, the grass is growing, and the birds are singing. This is a great time to visit us in Walla Walla! We are continuing our free music weekly and started a Friday night series at The INK. If you don’t follow us on social media you may not know that this is what we are now calling our incubator location at the Walla Walla airport. Every Friday night from 5:30-7:30 pm we have live music, wines by the glass or bottle, and rotating food vendors. This is a great way to start your weekend. We will continue to do live music downtown and Saturday nights from 5:30-7:30pm.
Springtime means we are back to Spring times. Our downtown tasting room is now open 7 days a week: Sun-Wed. 12-5 pm, Thurs-Sat. 12-8 pm. Springtime also means SPRING RELEASE! Something I know a lot of you are excited about. We will be releasing 5 wines, one of which is an old favorite the Eternal Beauty Rose. This year’s is 100% Grenache and I’m so excited about how this one turned out. Another returning favorite is our Eternal Perspective Grenache Blanc from Painted Hills vineyard.
I will be in Spokane a couple times this month. Coming up is the Left Bank wine bar at 5:30 pm on Friday the 6th , and Vino wine shop on Saturday the 7th at 2:30 pm. These will be fun pourings, and a good excuse to get out of your normal routine and meet some new people!
I now need to ask a favor from you. We are working hard to get the news out there about our amazing wines and staff but we cannot do it alone. I ask that you take a second and review us on any platform that you feel comfortable with. Google, Facebook, Yelp, Trip Advisor are a couple to name. I appreciate it, my friends!
Our downtown tasting room is open 7 days a week, and our airport location Fridays and Saturdays.
Calico Bones, Mari Gisele, ChrisSteph, Denny Sedam and Robert Gomez, AKA Zemog Otrebor, are all back in the tasting room as their unique styles make them local favorites. Free live music is from 5:30-7:30pm.
