Harvest is over!

While this means we are done bringing fruit in, this does not mean that the work is even close to being over.  We still have 12 active red ferments that will need to be pressed off and then go through malolactic (secondary) fermentation.  These lots will be complete by Christmas. Our winery is still packed tight.

It’s amazing to think that this is our 5thharvest!  It’s been a long, challenging, sometimes painful, but great trip so far.  I just wanted to thank you for being a part of the progress.  I honestly could not do it without your support.  This year will be forever special for me for numerous firsts:  first harvest in our own spot, first harvest with my father and grandfather helping, and first harvest with 9 fingers.

If you have not picked up your wine club shipments yet, our Fall Release pick-up party is on Saturday, November 3rd.   Doors open at 6 pm.  We will be welcoming 2 hilarious comedians, Greg Kettner and Ken McComb, out to The INK for a Comedy Night.  Show starts at 7 pm. Tickets for the show are free for members +1!  Wanna bring more friends?  Tickets are $10 at the door or $15 with a glass of wine.  Get your tickets at either tasting room or online here.

I am really loving our new releases and hopefully you will too.  For some of these lots I’ve been working with the same fruit for 3 releases.  It’s fun to taste the differences and similarities.  Our 2016 Carmenere is much like the 2015; however, 2014 is totally different.  Another fun fact is that with each vintage the port has increased in alcohol from 18.5-19.5 on the newest 2017 vintage.

Holiday Barrel will be coming up shortly as well:  December 7-9th. We will have a special treat for you (releasing a favorite wine and barrel tasting with me!).  This is a wonderful way to kick-start your holiday spirit.  Hope to see you there.

Our downtown tasting room is now open 5 days a week:  Wed. & Sun. 12-6 pm and Thurs.-Sat. 12-8 pm.

Our airport location is open Friday-Sunday 11-5 pm.

*We are open later for special events.

Free live music is from 5:30-7:30 pm.  Locals taste our Drink Washington State wines for free.
